Sexy Summer Sandals- Buying Guide

There's nothing I enjoy more than the first warm day after a long winter when I can toss away my socks and nylons in favor of some sexy summer-ready sandals. I just love browsing through seemingly endless aisles of pink stilettos, white wedge sandals and leather beaded thongs. Sandals are somehow so much prettier and sexier than those restrictive winter shoes (as much as I do love a fabulous pair of boots!). That being said, it's a good idea to keep your sandal adoration in check as you decide which pair (or pairs!) of sexy summer shoes are perfect for you. Consider the following sexy shoe buying guidelines.

Where would you wear those sexy sandals? As much fun as those shiny lime green polka dot espadrilles are, can you think of anything in your closet that you could wear with those extremely distinctive shoes? If you absolutely love them, far be it for me to tell you no. But it is something to consider...
Exactly how many inches high did you say those high heeled sandals were? And it's not just a consideration of comfort when we're talking about high heeled shoes. While you would obviously prefer to be able to walk pain-free, it's just as important to walk smoothly and not stumble along awkwardly because the heels are too high. If you really love those high heeled sexy sandals, try looking for wedges or at least a shoe with a solid strap to hold your heel in. This will help stabilize you (and cut down on the sexy shoe pain!).
Speaking of shoe comfort, to identify sandals that are both sexy and comfortable, be on the look out for any titled straps or other sharp angles which could cause chafing. Furthermore, a sandal with a bit of a curve to it (as opposed to a flat thong), even a slight curve, will offer much better arch support for your feet.
Are those sexy sandals well made and of a nice shoe brand, and does it matter? Once you've found some fabulous summer shoes, it would be ideal if they'd last more than a month in good shape. On the other hand, if they're tres chic and very a la mode, it's less important that those sexy sandals be sturdy since they'll be in and out of style in a flash!
Finally, are the shoes made out of a light-colored material which is prone to get dirty? White cotton covered sandals are not nearly so sexy once they've turned a light grey. Try spraying scotch guard to improve their anti-dirt capabilities.

On a last note, I try to buy at least one pair of sandals I can really comfortably walk in. And of course, I also let myself buy one fabulously sexy pair of extremely impractical but amazing high heeled sandals! Happy sexy shoe shopping!
